MAGAZINE INAUGURATION & HONOURING THE UNIVERSITY RANK HOLDERS

                                                                     The merit day and ADVAYA College Union magazine launch was conducted on 26  November 2024. The cheif guest for the programme were Sri. Sabu Mathew IPS and Sri. S.R. Ramesh, Muncipality Chairman, Kottarakara. The College magazine 'Nilanilppu' was launched and the rank holders were given awards.

 

Adhyavi

 International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

 

25 November, being celebrated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. We, the first years were also a part of this special day. 'Adhyavi', a program was conducted on behalf of the women cell of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College with First Year B.Ed. students and all staff members. On this day as an introduction, Mrs. Neethu Raj, Malayalam Dept. student, gave us an awareness on the specialty of this day and why this matter need to have made of greater concerns over the years. As a part of the program, a documentary from the part of first years of all optional subjects was presented at the General Hall. Later a collage competition on the subject 'VICTIM to VICTORY' was also conducted.

 Film Club Inauguration 2024-25

The film club of the union 2024-25 was inaugurated on 22 November 2024 at the General Hall by Mr. Arun, our Technology Sir. 

As a part of the inauguration, the full day was allotted to watch films. So that, the General Hall was well arranged by the Union members for the students to watch films without having any stress about the work in pending. Though we had seen the films 'അടി കപ്യാരെ കൂട്ട മണി', and 'ചതിക്കാത്ത ചന്തു' numerous times, we found ourselves enjoy the watching of these movies.

Learning new works

 Preparation of socially useful productive work

As a part of the B.Ed. curriculum, SUPW - Preparation of Socially Useful Productive Work was done at the college. An introduction session was conducted at first. Later the baton was handed over to Mr. Mohanlal, a retired teacher. Sir has a lot experience in the world of preparation of usually productive work. Since it was difficult to handle a total of 109 students, we were divided four groups making paper bag, paper file, lotion, and soap respectively.

The first session was gradually boring, since Mohanlal sir talked from the Ramayana, the Bible, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Malayalam, Psychology, English  etc. We were thoroughly counting the minutes left to take a break. Though there was a lag at the first session, later everything went according to the time limit.

I was very much curious in making the lotion, as my mother was an expertise in this area. But I was allotted to Group I, responsible for making paper bag. I had completed my work and I also learned how to make a paper file, which might useful for the B.Ed. assignments later.

 Farewell to Hari Sir

From the day 1 at BMM II Training College, Kottarakara, the common face reflecting the composure and style of B.Ed. teacher providing us with many works with different aspects. Sir's discussion sessions, podcast session, etc.- everything being a new method of teaching to me. 'Sir's ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് എടുക്കൂ' word would be the idea, I will be think of when I remember you sir.

Are you ready to be a Leader?...

 Workshop on capacity building in Leadership

TEACHER < = > LEADER

Since we are meant to be teachers to the school students, we must be a Leader who leads them throughout their school life. The Capacity Building Programme was very much effective to every one of us. Though the first part i.e. the presentation session made us think the workshop would be boring but later comes the real play. The sessions included are games requiring much concentration, role -  plays etc. As the whole 102 students were divided into four groups, it rose our competitive spirit in ourselves.

Tachyon

PHYSICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT - SUBJECT ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Physical Science Department Association was named TACHYON - behind the fastest travelling particle. The inauguration of the physical association "Tachyon" was an exciting and innovative event, filled with a unique twist on the traditional name-revealing ceremony. Rather than a simple unveiling, the ceremony was a lively and engaging experience, packed with a variety of games designed to bring participants together.

The highlight of the event was a thrilling treasure hunt that spanned the venue, challenging attendees with clues and tasks related to the association’s theme and mission. This dynamic and interactive approach made the occasion both memorable and fun, fostering a sense of excitement and community among all who attended, while giving them a deeper connection to the Tachyon association from the very start.

Biophilia

NATURAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT - SUBJECT ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Natural Science Department Subject Association was named - BIOPHILIA which means living in harmony with the nature.

The inauguration of the Natural Science Department Subject Association was a grand event, honored by the presence of Principal Riju John and the department faculty, Praveena Miss. The event, filled with excitement and enthusiasm, aimed to rejuvenate the garden of the B.Ed College, aligning with the department’s vision of fostering environmental awareness and beautification. Students showcased their vibrant talents through dance and songs, adding a cultural touch to the occasion. Various games and activities were also organized, fostering a spirit of unity and joy among the attendees. The day was not only a celebration of learning but also a step towards creating a more eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing campus, as the renovation of the garden symbolized the department's commitment to both education and the environment.

 SPORTS DAY

The Sports Day at B.Ed. College was an exciting and action-packed event, featuring a variety of sports including cricket, badminton, and football. The entire student body of 109 was divided into four teams, each showcasing their skills and competitive spirit. The event was expertly coordinated by Lal Sir, the Physical Education instructor, who ensured smooth operations and fair play throughout the day. The atmosphere was charged with energy, as students participated in different games, cheering for their respective teams, while also promoting teamwork and physical fitness. The matches were filled with enthusiastic moments, with each team striving to outperform the other, creating a vibrant and engaging experience for all.

In addition to the sports competitions, a relaxing and mindful Yoga session was organized after the games, providing a balance of physical activity and mental well-being for the students. The Yoga session was designed to help students unwind and rejuvenate, promoting flexibility and calmness after the intense physical exertion. Later in the day, the exams on Physical Education were conducted, assessing the theoretical knowledge of the students. This blend of practical sports activities and theoretical assessments highlighted the importance of both fitness and education in the field of Physical Education, making it a holistic event for all participants.

Equavista

 Mathematics Department - Subject Association Inauguration

"Equavista" - something like "a balanced view" or "an equal perspective." It might represent a philosophy or organization focused on fairness, equality, and broad perspectives—perhaps aiming for balanced insights or viewpoints.

                      The inauguration of the Mathematics Association at B.Ed. College was an engaging and lively event, packed with a variety of programs and interactive games that sparked interest and enthusiasm among the students. The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Riju John, the Principal, whose presence added a sense of importance and encouragement to the occasion. Ms. Vismaya Thomas,  faculty member from the department, symbolically shared the dice, marking the start of a series of fun and educational activities that focused on enhancing mathematical skills through games and challenges. The event not only celebrated the subject but also fostered a sense of community, teamwork, and intellectual curiosity among the students, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Though the department faced some difficulties in the practice session, it didn't affect the quality of the programme. The Maths department  boys, Abhijith, Albin and Joyal  's programme were very much commendable. Vismaya Miss also participated in the dance programme along with us. It was a rather memorable and remarkable day in my life. Last but not the least, the first promotional video on our endeavour was a great success.

Rithva

 SOCIAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT - SUBJECT ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Social science Department Association was named RITHVA - branch of a tree. The inauguration of the Social Science Department Subject Association at B.Ed. College was a vibrant and engaging event, presided over by Principal Riju John and Mrs. Sheeja Chacko, a faculty member of the department. The programme featured a variety of exciting activities designed to promote both learning and enjoyment. Students participated in interactive games encouraging a fun yet educational atmosphere.  Both Principal Riju John sir and Mrs. Sheeja Chacko emphasized the importance of the subject in shaping well-informed, responsible citizens and encouraged students to actively engage in the future programs and initiatives of the department. The event not only provided a platform for academic enrichment but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm among the students.

Kalosmi

 MALAYALAM DEPARTMENT - SUBJECT ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Malayalam Department Association was named Kalosmia. The Association inauguration program at  College was a vibrant celebration of the Malayalam language and culture, featuring a series of engaging activities. Among the highlights were the dance performances, which were particularly commendable for their energy, creativity, and precision. The students performed traditional and contemporary dances, beautifully expressing the essence of Malayalam culture through movement and rhythm. These performances added a dynamic and artistic touch to the event, earning praise from both faculty and peers.  The entire event provided an enriching experience, promoting pride in Malayalam culture while fostering a deeper connection to the language and its traditions.

Knowing the schools in our locality

 Reflection session 

The reflection session after the school induction program was conducted on 4 November 2024. Since a total of 109 schools went to 20 schools, it was impossible to finish the program in one day. So we were divided into two groups. We were allotted at the General Hall with 10 schools reflection session under the supervision of optional teachers Ms. Vismaya Thomas, Ms. Sheeja Chacko and Dr. Praveena M. . Every student from each school presented the overall outline of the schools' they had visited. A Q&A session was also arranged.

                 കോളേജ് യൂണിയൻ അധികാരം ഏറ്റെടുത്തതിനു ശേഷമുള്ള യൂണിയൻ്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ പരിപാടിയാണ് കോളേജിലെ കേരളപ്പിറവി ദിനം.                                                                                

                                                                                                                                         

കേരളം ആണ് എന്റെ സംസ്ഥാനം, ഞാൻ കേരളീയനാണ് എന്നു പറയുന്നതിലും അഭിമാനം കൊള്ളുന്ന ഞാൻ ഈ ദിനം ഏറെ വിശേഷതയോടു കൂടി നോക്കിക്കാണുന്നു. അന്നേ ദിനം കോളേജ് യൂണിയൻ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ മലയാളി മങ്ക മത്സരവും കേരളപ്പിറവി ദിനത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള ക്വിസ് മത്സരവും നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു. ഒട്ടനവധി ക്വിസ് മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ആദ്യമായിട്ടാണ് ക്വിസ് മാസ്റ്റർ ആയി പോകുന്നത്. എന്നോടൊപ്പം അതിനായി കൂടെ നിന്ന ടെറി അച്ചൻ, ജീജ എന്നിവരും വളരെയധികം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

                                   

The Reign Under Albin

 Union Inauguration 2024-25

The new union under the leadership of Albin K . Alexander got into power on the day of ' Kerala Piravi'.

As the oath taking ceremony of Govt. of  India, there was an oath taking ceremony presided over by Mr. Riju John, the Principal of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara. All the members of the union repeated  oath after the Principal.
