Guiding the Way: Seniors Inspire with Knowledge and Experience!

            Demonstration Class for Semester II

The second semester demonstration classes featured engaging sessions based on innovative teaching models. Devika Murali presented a lesson using the Inquiry Training Model (ITM), which effectively encouraged critical thinking and student participation. She began the session with a captivating story that sparked curiosity and set the stage for inquiry. The lesson smoothly transitioned through all phases of the ITM, from encountering the puzzling situation to formulating explanations and analyzing the inquiry process. Her structured yet interactive approach allowed students to explore content meaningfully while developing problem-solving skills.

Lijin’s class, built on the Constructivist Teaching Model, was equally impressive. Starting with an engaging story, he created a relatable context that helped students connect prior knowledge with new learning. The lesson was carefully planned and executed, covering all phases of the constructivist approach—from activating prior knowledge to reflection and assessment. Students were actively involved in constructing their understanding through group discussions and hands-on activities. Both demonstrations showcased sound pedagogical practices and a deep understanding of the respective teaching models.
