ഓണാഘോഷം 2024
2024 ഓണാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കം ബസേലിയസ് മാർത്തോമ്മാ മാത്യൂസ് II ൽ നിന്നാകട്ടെ. അത്തപ്പൂക്കളം ഇടാനുള്ള തിരക്കോടെ കോളേജിന്റെ ഓണാഘോഷത്തിന് കൊടിയേറ്റം. വർണ്ണാഭമായ പൂക്കളം സീനിയർസ്ന്റെയും ജൂനിയർസന്റെയും നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ തയ്യാറായി. ഓണത്തിന്റെ തനിമ വിളിച്ചോതുന്ന ഊഞ്ഞാൽ കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു. തുടർന്ന് ഓണകളികൾ തുടങ്ങി.

അശരണർക്കും, ആലംബഹീനർക്കും, അനാഥർക്കും താങ്ങായി തണലായി സനാത്വത്തിന്റെ അതിലേറെ പ്രതീക്ഷയുടെ വെള്ളിവെളിച്ചം വീശുന്ന ഒരു ഭവനമാണ് ആശ്രയ സങ്കേതം.
നമ്മളെ കേൾക്കാനും, നമുക്ക് കേൾക്കാനുമായി നിറപുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ.
ഒരുപിടി സമ്മാനങ്ങളുമായി കാത്തുനിന്നവർ.

Veluthambi Dalawa Memorial Museum: A Journey through the life of the Martyr

Though I had heard the name Veluthambi Dalawa along with Kundara Vilambaram, I am particularly one among those who doesn't have any knowledge about these things. As a part of our curriculum, we the B.Ed. students visited the Veluthambi Dalawa Memorial Museum situated at Mannadi Taluk of Pathanamthitta district.
Eventhough it is named after Veluthambi Dalawa, the museum showcases the transition from our Kingdom of Travancore to the state Kerala. That is, it an open-air gallery with portraits of Travancore rulers from Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma to Sree Chithra Thirunal and also displays several historical pieces, including a stone Buddha statue, age-old agricultural tools, coins, cannons, and old war apparatuses.

There is also a pictorial gallery on Dalawa's life.
Dalawa spent his final days in this location after leading an uprising against the British East India Company's rule in India. To escape from British capture, he ended his life at Mannadi Pazhayakavu Devi Temple. Thus the museum depicts the testament to the brave stand for freedom!
Workshop on Blog Creation

On September 3, as a part of our curriculum, a workshop on 'How to create blogs?' and 'How to post?' was conducted where the guest of honour was Mr. Harilal K.S., CDAC, Thiruvananthapuram. Though I have seen my friends' blogs, I have never cared about it and never ever tried to create my own blogs. The class was very much interesting and we were taught how to create blogs on various platforms. We were also taught to how to design the blog, how to view the posts, and how to insert an image to the blog.
He also discussed about the mistakes that we can make since we are toddlers in the world of blog creation. Thus the class was very much effective for everyone.
Arts Fest of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara was conducted by the " NITARA " College Union on 23 rd, 27 th, 29 th and 30 th of August 2024 on various events.

The events were competed among the RED, BLUE, and GREEN houses. But the final victory was gained by the Green House and lifted the championship trophy in flying colours.

The valedictory function was held on 30 th August 2024 at 2.00 pm. The function was presided by the Mr. Arun Raj D., Union Chairman , Baselios College and inaugurated by Adv. P. Ayisha Potty, Ex- MLA.
The Kalathilakam, the Kalaprathibha and the winners of the various events were given prizes.
Thus by bringing together a diverse artistic expressions, such as visual arts, music, theater, and dance, the fest had created a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere celebrating creativity and broadening participants' cultural horizons.
The Freshers day named " അടിച്ച് കേറിവാ " was a unanimous and unexpected welcoming given by the seniors to their juniors, that means for us😊....
It was conducted on 22 August 2024 and it was very vibrant and exciting from our view point with food, music and activities. Though we were given some activities, we were able to identify the hidden talents in each and everyone present. It had brought quite a lot of unforgettable memories to remember in the future years.

Nearing another step in achieving the goal to be a good teacher, the B.Ed. course for the academic year 2024 - 26 in BMM Training College had been started with an orientation program conducted on 15 July 2024. Our college principal Mr. Riju John welcomed everyone and gave an introduction about the course. He emphasized on the values and qualities that one must possess in order to be a good teacher. The program had been successful with the presence of Rev. Dr. Baby Thomas, Dr. Jubin Mattappallil, Assistant Professor, Malayalam Department, St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara, and Dr. Kunjiraman, Malayalam Department M.Ed. HOD. The above all mentioned spoke from their bottom of the heart and wished all of them a best future.
